Summary0002013: UI very slow
DescriptionJust installed v3.5 over existing previous non-beta version.
UI is very slow now. Some mouse clicks or key presses end up with one or two seconds of response time.
Examples:
- Starting the app until all of the screen is drawn
- Ctrl-E to open edit window: Several seconds to wait, regardless whether one or multiple images selected
- in the edit window, switching back and forth between images: a second per switch
and so on and so on

In general, seems way more sluggish than before.

What happens if you change the map window from Google to OpenStreetMap?

No noticeable difference.
However, interesting side effect: Although map is set to OpenStreeMap, upon startup of the application, it still comes with a Google Maps related error message - see screenshot attached.

I have the same problem, both with the latest and the previous version of Geosetter.
No matter what map I set, every minimal resize or drag of the map will result in a several seconds, if not minutes, wait.
The problem started a few days ago on both of my PCs. I am using Windows 10 on both PCs.
The only thing I noticed is that there was a little Windows Update not too long before the problem started.
I say "little update" because it took a very short time to accomplish.

P.S. if it can be useful, the Windows update I was talking about is KB4023057 which happened on my PC on January 18 and you can find more info here:

https://support.microsoft.com/it-it/help/4023057/update-to-windows-10-versions-1507-1511-1607-1703-1709-and-1803-for-up

or, in German,

According to Microsoft "This update includes reliability improvements to Windows Update Service components in Windows 10, versions 1507, 1511, 1607, 1703, 1709, and 1803"
I'm too experiencing the same problem but my Windows is 1809 (don't have this KB4023057 installed).

Meanwhile, this problem was reported several times. So far no solution, but a workaround or at least reducing the lack by decreasing the size of the map panel drastically:

Tonight the problem seems to be solved: Maps load very quickly again!
